A corbel is an architectural bracket projecting from a wall that is used as a decorative accent or as a support for a shelf. It can be made from many materials( i.e. wood, plaster or stone ) Corbels are becoming one of the most popular design elements in the home. They are seen as shelf supports, kitchen Island supports, as well as fireplace mantle accents. Their use creates a feeling of elegance to any room, and their use is limited only by your imagination.
