These designs of our wood Onlays that are inspired by mother nature and the fruits of her wonder, are delicately carved by our MASTER CARVERS and lend themselves to adornment of Doors, Furniture, Cabinetry and other flat surfaces. Carved wood on-lays will be found in cabinetry found throughout the Grande rooms of Europe. The designs of flowers, swags and grape clusters amongst others give the designers opportunities to use these wood Onlays that will transform an ordinary cabinet into a special piece of furniture.
These carved wood Onlays that are available in Maple, Oak and Cherry can be used on Fireplace mantles as well, by adding these custom wood Onlays in combination of other architectural accents to a piece of furniture or cabinet door you are adding a personal touch that is unique only to you. Carved wood Onlays are used on picture frames, mirror frames and any other project that you want to add that something special to.
The triple sanding to all of our custom wood onlays makes finishing so much easier since time wasted in sanding before finishing is not needed . While staining is most often the finishing medium used the smooth texture of Maple makes a paint finish look extra smooth. Be sure that when painting that you do not use too much paint on the brush so that you don't flood the carved areas and take away that crisp finish that our Master Carvers have taken such care to impart in each item.
